Lee Douglas' Panthers (now 13-7 on the season) downed Wilcox County Tuesday, 12-2, then blanked Atkinson County at home Friday, 8-0. In Rochelle Tuesday, the Panther bats were hot, pounding out 14 hits as Duncan Lutz got the complete-game win on the hill. The Panthers took control of the game early, scoring three runs in the top of the first. They added three more in the third to take a 6-2 lead into the fourth. They added two more runs in the fifth, and had a four-run rally in the sixth. Meanwhile, Lutz kept the Patriot bats at bay, not allowing a run after the third inning. He allowed just one hit, no earned runs, and struck out eight, walking three, in six innings of work. The Clinch bats were led by sophomore Kyle Hendricks, who went a perfect 4-for-4, including a double.
